🌟 What is Black Philanthropy Month?
Black Philanthropy Month is an annual global celebration and concerted campaign designed to advance funding equity for Black communities around the world. It was established to inspire and engage more individuals and organizations to join the movement towards equitable and impactful philanthropy.
🤔 Why are we getting involved?
Despite the progress we've made in closing the funding gap, there is still much work to be done. Still today, Black-led nonprofits only receive 1-2% of the billions of dollars in foundation funding. That's why we are proud to officially join the BackBlack movement. With over $60K in matching funds available, we aim to make a significant impact in supporting Black-led nonprofits. 💼💰
